Clear and Near 2.4 GHz Baby Monitor

The Clear and Near Monitor combines long range reception with incredible audio clarity, making it the perfect option for monitoring your baby. The parents' unit is easily attached to a belt and has a channel switcher and range indicator. This allows parents to know when they are nearing the range limit and helps anticipate breaks in reception.

The 2.4 GHz spectrum is the real reason behind the incredible sound clarity and reception that this system is known for. The 1500 foot range makes it essential for homes over 2000 square feet, and any home with a backyard. And because it runs on the 2.4 GHz spectrum it won't interfere with home electronics that are in a 900 MHz range. With the combination of the belt clip with sound activated lights and a range indicator parents have all the information they need to monitor their baby. And due to its spectacular range parents can move anywhere in their home and still be confident that the unit will pick up the signal.

This system has proven to be very reliable in my home. I have a 1-year old girl who needs constant attention, and I feel confident of my ability to keep watch over her when I use the Clear and Near 2.4GHz Monitor. Actually, I've tested out this system all over my house and was pleased to find that the monitor never went out of range.

Also, it can stay powered for a decent amount of time. And thanks to its use of typical AAA batteries, I know they're easily replaced. But since the Clear and Near 2.4GHz Monitor comes with rechargeable batteries, I haven't had to buy any new ones yet.

Another big plus is the special belt clip design. It's really comfortable! It just nestles snuggly on my side as I walk around the house. In addition, the child's unit has a wall mount, a super-sensitive microphone, and a pager button. This means parents can be confident that they will be able to clearly hear their baby.

One small problem is this: it’s too sensitive! When it’s turned on, I can hear everything, including the air-conditioner in my child's room! Also, other friends of ours who have young babies complain that there’s no video monitor. But for me, this feature is not so important. What matters most is clear reception and long range, especially considering how large our house is. Video or no video, this unit works clearly and I can hear even the smallest details in my child's room. This is what I look for in a good monitoring system and the Clear and Near 2.4GHz Monitor gives me just that.
